SOHO a GOGO

So I made my way down to the SOHO CBD (Chinese Business District) tonight to join the WLE (World Link Education) group for sports and dinner. We played Frisbee, baseball, badminton, and some sort of hacky sack game with a widget that had feathers on it and jingled.

We had another incredible and massive communal meal. As you can see, the expat community loves its beer.

As a result, I finally had to break in my first squat toilet. Pity my first experience with this lovely Chinese tradition had to be in this place. However, I was comforted with the fact that it only gets better from here.

The public bathroom looks like encouragement not to drink too much for sure, especially alcohol. Gives a whole new and interesting meaning to... fall back in it.

Today has brought me yet one more thing to be grateful for.

Imagine having a few drinks and having to SMELL a place like that. UGH. UGH.

You bring up a good point. Being here IS a lesson in humility. Every day here is a reminder of just how, I'm not going to say lucky because some things back home are not necessarily BETTER, um opulent things are back home.

I would be good with that toilet, we were meant to be.

Well it would be okay for standing but no sitting.
Many years ago when my mother went back to Italy for 3 months she told me she like our bathrooms the best in the US.
other than that she felt all was equal.
