It is so affordable to eat out, we've only had two meals here this week. Meals out at fairly nice places cost anywhere between two and five dollars. An "upscale" place can get you dinner including drink and dessert for around fifteen dollars.
For instance, today we had Korean barbeque. While I was disappointed at first that my request for bulgogi was met with a scrunched face that said "we don't serve that here" the dinner itself was amazing and cost roughly fifteen dollars. That's really good for a meal that never ended and mmmmm, fresh watermelon juice. We didn't even order dessert but were delighted at the end of our meal with fresh fruit and the yummiest sorbet ever.

Next time ask for Galbi/Kalbi (Gal-bee). Apparently I had the two mixed up.

It was very similar to what you make, just not marinated. We got the lettuce to wrap it in, hot peppers, garlic (instead of onions), and the yummy sauce.
Someone is jush having too much fun
that is actually called "sang-gup sal." The meat is not supposed to be marinated and it comes with a salty soybean oil dip as well as the gocheu-jang.
